How to Edit mp3 Sound Files
How to Make a SoundMap
- Start making your SoundMap in Google Earth by adding a new folder to 'My Places'. Give this folder the name of your SoundMap.
- Add your placemarks. Put the name of the sound file in the description (eg. "mysound.mp3").
- Add a space and a distance in meters if you want to set a radius (eg. "mysound.mp3 30").
- Add another space and the word 'loop' if you want the sound to play on a loop (eg. "mysound.mp3 30 loop").
- Your sound files should be in mp3 format and the file names should not contain spaces or punctuation.
- Individual sounds should be no more than 60 seconds in length the entire SoundMap should be no more than 10Mb in size.
- When you have finished making your map click on the folder and save it to your desktop in KML format.
- Now all you have to do is upload your KML file and the sound files.
