How to Edit mp3 Sound Files

How to Make a SoundMap

  1. Start making your SoundMap in Google Earth by adding a new folder to 'My Places'. Give this folder the name of your SoundMap.
  2. Add your placemarks. Put the name of the sound file in the description (eg. "mysound.mp3").
  3. Add a space and a distance in meters if you want to set a radius (eg. "mysound.mp3 30").
  4. Add another space and the word 'loop' if you want the sound to play on a loop (eg. "mysound.mp3 30 loop").
  5. Your sound files should be in mp3 format and the file names should not contain spaces or punctuation.
  6. Individual sounds should be no more than 60 seconds in length the entire SoundMap should be no more than 10Mb in size.
  7. When you have finished making your map click on the folder and save it to your desktop in KML format.
  8. Now all you have to do is upload your KML file and the sound files.
